Field Roast Review

Field Roast sent us a coupon to review their burgers. Here's some info about products from their website:

Wheat Protein

The high protein in Field Roast products comes from vital wheat gluten. Vital wheat gluten is made by rinsing the starches out of a wheat dough through a kneading process using water. In a large flour mill, the process begins by mixing water into the wheat flour to make a dough.  The dough is then placed into a centrifuge where the starches are removed.  This leaves pure wheat protein that is dried and ground into Vital Wheat Gluten flour.

Vegetables

Vegetables are a very important part of all Field Roast products. We are able to create rich, natural flavors by using whole ingredients from the earth. Among these ingredients are Yukon gold potatoes, Washington apples, Oregon hazelnuts, butternut squash, mushrooms, red and green bell peppers, eggplant, cranberries, carrots, celery and much more.

Spices

Each Field Roast product has a unique blend of spices to compliment and enhance their natural flavors. Hints of ginger and rubbed sage are found in the Smoke Apple Sage Sausage, cumin and oregano in the Mexican Chipotle Sausage, and garlic and fennel in the Italian Sausage. A warming blend of nutmeg, ginger and black pepper is offered from the Apple Maple Breakfast Sausage.

We chose the Hand-Formed Burger for our review. Here's more info about it:

Hand-Formed Burger

We present to you a juicy burger that is full of classic burger flavor and right at home on the grill. Field Roast Burgers are pleasing sports fans across the country on stadium menus because they raise the bar on the antiquated hockey puck veggie burger we all know so well. Formed by hand in Seattle and built from barley, fresh carrots and celery, these burgers are a meat eater’s delight. Pile on your fixings or crumble into chunks for chili and you’ll believe.

Excuse the half eaten picture... I was so hungry, I forgot about the pic! hahaha

WOW! These burgers were FULL OF FLAVOR. We had our friend Spencer (who has never had a veggie burger btw) over for dinner and football game and he said he would eat them again. We were pleasantly surprised how much protein was in each burger... 22 grams! These were very tasty and we liked knowing they were full of healthy ingredients.

Fuel for Fire Review

Fuel for Fire sent us some of their fuel packs to review! Here's some info from their website:

So…what exactly is a Fuel Pack?

It's pretty simple. A Fuel Pack is just pureed fruit plus whey protein. That's it. Nothing artificial. No mysterious ingredients. With 10 grams of protein and natural carbs from fruit, Fuel Packs are perfect for pre-workout energy or post-workout recovery. But they taste so good, you'll want one for a snack too.
Whether you're an athlete, weekend warrior, or busy Mom trying to get through the day, Fuel Packs offer you the nutrients and vitamins of real food, in the convenience of a pouch that you can take anywhere. Eating clean has never been easier.

We LOVED LOVED LOVED these! They were absolutely PERFECT for our golf tournament fuel! We are constantly looking for good sources of protein to eat on the course that are easy to carry in the bag, won't spill, and won't melt chocolate (for Jared) all inside the golf bag. These were absolutely perfect. We enjoyed these walking down some fairways because they were THAT convenient. We loved the fact that they were just fruit and 10 GRAMS of protein, not to mention the fact that they tasted DELICIOUS!

The four flavors were:
Triple Berry
Tropical
Sweet Potato Apple
Banana Cocoa

Each one was tasty and unique in it's own way, but we each had our favorite flavor, of course! Jared loved the Banana Cocoa (go figure), and I loved the Tropical the best. They were all VERY scrumptious and easy to eat on the go!

Try some yourself!

Since I don't like chocolate, Jared got to review these all by himself. He was PUMPED! He LOVED these. I asked him how they compared to the other Smart Bars, (because we LOVED those and thought they tasted like healthy poptarts!!!) and he said, "Kels, you don't want me to answer that." I asked him why and he replied, "Because they are awesome and they are 10 times better than the other ones! Gosh, I hate that you don't like chocolate. *With an evil grin on his face*

So, for all you chocolate lovers out there, this bar is for you! Go try some!!! That just means more of the fruity ones for me! :)

Nana's Nola Review

Nana's Nola sent us some of their granola bites to review! Here's some info about them from their website:
Ten years ago I opened Flying Changes Bed & Breakfast in Oneonta, New York.
After researching many recipes I created signature granolas for my guests, family and friends.
Healthy ingredients were carefully selected and balanced with just the right amount of natural
organic sweeteners. My first product “Nana’s Nola™ Gluten Free Crunchy Snack Bites”
are made with multiple organic whole grains, contains no soy, artificial additives or preservatives
and 4 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber.  A healthy whole grain bite size snack for kids and adults,
it is the perfect take-a-long size for car trips, lunch boxes and backpacks.   My guests love it and I
hope you will too.
By the way, there is a real Nana!
Hugs,
Nana Marie

Our Review:
We loved these! Unfortunately, the granola "bites" got a little smooshed on the trip to our house, but we enjoyed the few that remained intact. They were delicious and you could just tell that they were wholesome and nutritious! We loved putting the granola on top of our overnight oats and yogurt, as well as just eating it straight out of the bag with a spoon! (Yes, it's THAT good!)
