All the Snacks!!! (Giveaway)

It's time for another round up of some awesome products that we've been blessed to review lately! There's also a chance for you to win something at the end!

Wewalka introduces another U.S. first with its sweet, layered Danish Dough. A versatile seamless sheet comprised of 36 folded layers of yeast dough, it is the perfect foundation for baking up croissants, sweet rolls, turnovers, and other delicious pastries. Whether you fill it, roll it, braid it or top it, Wewalka Danish Dough provides another European classic destined to be an American favorite.

Jared and I loved this dough! It was light and fluffy. It tasted incredible stuffed with savory and sweet flavors. The first thing we made was a pizza "hot pocket". They tasted so much better than the store bought brand that we grew up eating, and they didn't have any weird ingredients! YAY!

I had my friend, Bridget, over for brunch one weekend and we made some fruit filled pastries, and I even made an egg and peanut butter filled roll. (As you know, I put peanut butter on almost everything) They were all delicious and the rolls by themselves without any filling are tasty as well.

Check out Wewalka on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook

Another great box from FitSnack! I loved the Shine Organics fruit and veggie pouch. I froze it a little bit and then added it to my smoothie and it was SO GOOD! A lot of people drink Kombucha and this box supplied a kit to make your own! There were lots of yummy snacks, check out this link to get 50% off your first box!!

Keep your eye out on FitSnack's Instagram and Twitter for Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals that you won't want to miss!

Jared and I were so pumped when we tried these because they taste amazingly delicious and they are packed full of protein! The Ranch is probably our favorite because they remind us of our childhood chip choice, Cooler Ranch Doritos, without anything bad! They are crunchy and packed full of flavor!

I shared them with my church small group and they loved them as well!

Another cool part about the cinnamon crunch is that it's a great smoothie topper. It tasted like cinnamon cereal and it was perfect for my pumpkin pie smoothie bowl. YUM!

Why popcorn? Many years ago, we were searching for a healthy side dish to serve our restaurant patrons. We popped up a few batches of our family’s favorite popcorn and customers enjoyed it so much, they started asking for bags of the popcorn to take home. Sales took off, and the rest is history. Today, Little Lad’s pops thousands of pounds of corn kernels a week…that’s a lot of corn. If you haven’t already, we invite you to try Little Lad’s Herbal Corn or any other Little Lad’s flavored popcorn, for that matter.
I declare myself THE popcorn-o-holic! I absolutely LOVE popcorn, and this popcorn exceeded my expectations! It has nutritional yeast added to it and with that comes vitamins, amino acids, minerals and protein. I wish everyone could taste this popcorn RIGHT NOW! It's THAT good!

Little Lad's also sent us some almond butter, along with some herb crackers, that were just perfect! I told Jared that the crackers were way better than the EarthFare whole wheat crackers. That says a lot, because I really like those! I don't know how they do it, but the almond butter was just oven roasted washed almonds and sea salt, but we both agreed that it was some of the best almond butter we've tasted.

See the latest news from Little Lad's on their Facebook page.

This stuff is the perfect blend of coconut butter and nut butter all in one jar! It tastes incredible by the spoonful, but it also makes your every day food taste like dessert! It is full of healthy fats and only has a couple ingredients. We were blown away by the incredible taste.

It went on top of our eggs, on toast, eaten by the spoonful, and also into this super easy 3 ingredient lunch:

All I did was sauté shredded chicken with cauliflower rice and a heaping spoonful of the creamy cashew butter. HOLY MOLY IT WAS GOOD!

You've gotta check out their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for all kinds of recipes and tasty ways to eat this jar of goodness!

I have a new recipe to share, that I like to call VACATION MUFFINS because the flavors remind me of vacation!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup coconut flour
2 very ripe bananas
3 extra large eggs
3 tbsp honey
3 drops liquid stevia
sprinkle of cinnamon and baking powder

Directions:
Pour all ingredients into a food processor and mix for about 3 minutes. Then, bake at 370*F for about 20 minutes or until you can poke them with a fork and not have any batter stick to the fork. Enjoy!

Inspired by his mother's tasty cookies, MAXINE'S HEAVENLY COOKIES founder Tim Miller wasn't willing to sacrifice the delicious taste he remembered as a kid on his quest to turn her recipe into a healthier, guilt-free vegan treat!

While We Are Waiting...

I figured it was time for a little life update here on the blog. Unfortunately, Jared did not make it through first stage of Web.Com Tour Q-School this year. While it was extremely difficult to process immediately afterwards, Jared has gotten his emotions out and let them go.

Right now, we are in what seems like a long waiting season, but, what most people might not know is that we are doing our best to LOVE it. We don't want to stay in a constant state of sadness just because ONE ROUTE of making it back on the Web.Com tour didn't work out. God is showing us each and every day that there are TOO MANY BLESSINGS to miss out on right now!  Jared and I have been doing the best we can to serve God and serve others around us. Here's just a few of the things we have been doing lately.

We are cheering on our friends who made it through first stage and want to see them succeed and make it to finals! Our good friends, Zack and Katie Fischer, were headed to the Web.Com Tour Championship and unfortunately, the hurricane caused the cancellation of the tournament. But, I was so blessed to be able to hangout with Katie for a little while during their stay close by before everyone evacuated. It's always nice to be able to talk to someone who is in the same boat and can relate! I was so grateful for that one on one time with her!

We are still doing our part to help spread the word about our favorite snack, Fig Bars! This company has gone above and beyond to not only supply Jared with a healthy snack on the course, but encourages us and cheers for us on along the way! We are so grateful to work with such a supportive company!

When Jared is home, we've been enjoying as much time as possible with each other. We cherish the days we can wake up together, (when I'm not working my morning babysitting job) read our couples devotional together, and workout at the start of our day.

On the days where I only watch Christopher when he gets out of school, I sometimes tag along with Jared at the course and help watch his swing, see if his shoulder is moving a lot while putting, or video taping for him. I also like to practice my putting too. (It is getting better every time!)

One weekend, our friends asked if we wanted to do a double date to a nice course so Jared could still practice, but we could get some quality time together! It was such a perfect day! Plus, the girls did a lot better than the guys thought we would!

We had family come and stay with us one night on their way to Disney World. We enjoyed making homemade pizza and just hanging out together.

An unexpected 'lemon turned into lemonade' was when hurricane Matthew came on my birthday and I had to evacuate. Fortunately, I was able to stay in Tallahassee with family. My cousin even got me my FAVORITE protein cookie, put a candle in it and sang happy birthday to me!!!!  It was such a fun surprise and it made my day!

I also got to see all of my family that lives in Tallahassee at some point during my stay. It was a trip that wasn't planned, but turned out pretty awesome!

I also got to see Jared's parents for one meal before they flew home. The hurricane made all the schedules out of whack! They were supposed to stay with us the weekend after my birthday, but all the flights messed up with the weather so they flew out of Tallahassee.

When I came back after all the hurricane madness was over, I rescheduled my birthday dinner with friends and it was still just as fun! We had dinner at my favorite place, Zoe's Kitchen, and since Jared wasn't there, HE CALLED ZOE'S KITCHEN AND ASKED THEM TO SING HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! It was the sweetest thing and I couldn't stop smiling after they told me he called!

Lastly, Jared has really been working hard at the course and has decided to finish out the year trying the rest of the PGA Tour Monday Qualifiers because he can still skip the pre-qualifier and has a discounted entry fee until the end of 2016. We've prayed and prayed and still feel like making it to the PGA Tour one day is what God has in store for Jared. He is going to give it his all these next few weeks and see what happens. Then, we will decide what route to take for the next year. Most likely, he will be going back to the Canada Tour and fighting his way to earn a spot on the Web.Com ASAP!

Wife Brag: I am SO incredibly proud of my husband. He sacrifices so much time and puts his body through so much when he repeats the same motions over and over again every single day at practice. He works HARD for us and I want more than ANYTHING for his lifelong dream to come true!

But, even though we are hoping and waiting for Jared to make it to the PGA Tour, it doesn't mean we aren't thoroughly enjoying the ride to get there!!! These tough seasons make us appreciate the little things more. Our prayer is that even though we may not have a lot according to the world's standards,  that we share what we DO HAVE and bless other people around us as much as we can. Please pray for us to make the most of every opportunity and share God's love wherever we are. Thanks for your support!

*Edit: TWO hours after I wrote this post, I read this for my nighttime devotional....*

It's so amazing how God shows us that He is ALWAYS here with us!!!!

Friday Faves

Hello! It's been a while since we've done our Friday Faves, so here we go!

Zim's CRACK Creme Creamy Daytime Formula is an herbal formula that softens and moisturizes dry, cracked skin. Developed by a pharmacist. Recommended for daytime use, complimenting nighttime use of the Original Liquid Formula . Use on Hands, Feet, Elbows, Cuticles & More. Our original liquid and creamy daytime products are ideal for the dry split fingers often associated with dry atmosphere weather in wintertime or southwestern climates.
We thought this creme was super moisturizing and it really helped our dry hands the most! You can find more info on all of Zim's products on their websiteTwitter, and Facebook too!
SmashMallow is a premium snacking marshmallow made with Organic cane sugar and all-natural ingredients! SmashMallow is a sweet pick-me-up for every-day, anytime-of-day!

I brought all of the flavors out for my church small group meeting one night, and they were a huge hit! Everyone couldn't believe how tasty they were! Everyone thought they were the perfect treat for those times you want something sweet to eat, but just a bite. We also decided that they would make really good rice krispie treats, so I tried to make some the next day and you can find the recipe at the bottom of this post! YAY!

You can find out more about these awesome marshmallows on their website, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

Retired NFL Pro, Reggie Kelly, and his wife Sheila created this company after They held football camps in their hometown of Aberdeen. The football camps were designed to reward the kids who have excelled academically in the classroom. Reggie also invited fellow NFL stars & coaches to volunteer and make the events special for the kids. True to form, after the camps, Reggie’s family cooked for the volunteers and they raved about the flavor and goodness of the meals. “Their responses were overwhelming and brought a smile to my face when they expressed their enjoyment of the meals and the difficulty of finding flavorful meals like these anywhere else”, said Reggie. Those compliments started the ‘wheels to churn’ in my mind and a light bulb flashed, prompting my wife and I to ‘come up’ with a great idea… a Soul Food Line!

They were very kind to send us their BBQ Sauce, Hot Sauce, Honey Apple Salsa, and Honey Apple Butter. We LOVE all of these! They're so tasty and definitely spice up our meals. Jared puts the hot sauce on practically EVERYTHING. :) My Man loves his food spicy!

I made a BBQ Veggie "Meatloaf" I guess we can call it, haha.  I just browned ground beef then added BBQ sauce to simmer it. Meanwhile, I put a bag of broccoli and an egg in the food processor and let it whirl. Then, I added the broccoli mix to the BBQ Beef skillet and mixed thoroughly. Lastly, I topped it with some Munster cheese and baked it at 400*F for about 20 min with aluminum foil on top. Then, I removed the foil for an additional five minutes to brown the cheese a little.

It was hubby approved so that's always a good sign! :) We can't wait for the apple butter on our weekend waffles!!!!

KYVAN's website has a TON of recipes, so please check them out and you can also follow them on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram

If you've been reading this blog for any amount of time, you know that Jared and I love trying new on -the-go bars that we can take with us to the golf course! These bars were filled with good ingredients that are good for heart health!
Check out their website, Instagram, and Twitter.

Now, for the DELICIOUS treat I mentioned earlier in this post.... I adapted this recipe from Golden Barrel slightly to make these tropical treats!

Ingredients:
2 Bags of Smashmallows (I used Coconut Pineapple and Strawberries-n-Cream flavors)
1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
1/4 scoop Purely Inspired Whey Protein
5 Cups Puffed Kamut

Directions:
Pour Coconut Oil and Smashmallows into a medium pot on medium heat. Keep stirring until the mixture is smooth and add the scoop of protein powder while continuing to stir. Then, take the pot off the heat and stir in the kamut puffs. Finally, pour the mixture into a baking pan that has been sprayed with nonstick spray and push down until smooth.

Talk about a delicious treat that isn't filled with artificial ingredients! I've made rice krispie type treats before, but without the marshmallows, they just don't have that same exact texture, so we are super excited we can have that texture back without eating stuff that's not real!

Purely Inspired is providing us with protein in exchange for recipes each month. We are not compensated for these posts, just sent product.

Recent Review Round Up

Today we wanted to share a round-up of our latest reviews from some awesome companies! We were blessed to receive these products. We were not compensated monetarily, just sent free samples. All opinions are our own.

WHAT ARE BROAD BEANS?
The best-kept secret in healthy snacking! Enjoyed around the world for their delicious flavor and satisfying crunch, broad beans are a nutrition powerhouse packed with protein and fiber.
ENLIGHTENED CRISPS
Are lightly roasted in sunflower oil, sprinkled with sea salt, and seasoned to perfection. So go ahead... spill the beans.

We cannot get enough of these delicious crisps! They are super tasty and we wouldn't have even known we were eating beans if you just sat them in front of us to try. They have a crunch like a cracker and the flavors are JUST RIGHT!  We were very impressed that they packed so much protein for feeling like we were "eating crackers" with our meals. We enjoyed these during a picnic at the golf course one afternoon as well as our separate lunches throughout the week and are the perfect TV snack too!
They even have two sweet flavors and we enjoyed mixing them in our smoothie bowls! TALK ABOUT YUM!
*They also have PROTEIN PACKED ICECREAM!!!! It's extremely delicious and doesn't have crazy weird ingredients!!! WIN WIN!!!*

Love Grown has a special edition Bats and Boos cereal just in time for Halloween. Jared LOVED them, but I made sure he saved some for our niece and nephew who are visiting this weekend.

This month's FitSnack Box is FILLED with chocolate goodies and Jared couldn't have been more excited! He loves chocolate and is super excited any time we are sent chocolate stuff because he knows that he doesn't have to share with me! haha

Purely Inspired has launched BRAND NEW PRODUCTS!!!! We immediately made some protein waffles with the new WHEY protein and were happy that it includes two servings of greens as well! We have been adding the powdered peanut butter and organic greens to our smoothies and they are quite tasty!

Jared and I have a passion for peanut butter and we are always thinking of new ways to eat it. This month, I created a sweet Chex Mix type snack that we named, Peanut Butter Protein Crumble.

Ingredients:
1 cup natural peanut butter
1 scoop Purely Inspired Protein Powder (we used Berry flavor for this batch)
~3 cups of Sprouted Oat Honey O's (cheerios would work as well)
1/4 cup honey

Directions
1. Pour peanut butter, protein, and honey into a pot on the stovetop on medium heat and keep stirring until everything mixes well.
2. Pour cereal into a large bowl.
3. Pour peanut butter mixture over cereal and mix well.
4. Pour into dish and freeze.

It's super easy and super tasty! We have been eating this by the handful and also like to add it into  yogurt as well.

Wolfepack Wrap Up

It's been a while since we posted about our life, so today we will fill you in on the last few months.

Jared fought hard this season with Web.Com Tour qualifiers, but ended up going back to Canada to play in the last few events. He did really well the first week and finished in the Top 15. The next two events were missed cuts, but Jared stayed positive and knew that he was fortunate to be able to get some kinks worked out before Q-School starts in October. He is working VERY hard to improve his mental game, along with having a positive attitude in any situation. It's carried over into our marriage as well and it has been incredible to see his mindset shift to being positive a majority of the time!

Last month, we were extremely fortunate to be gifted a two night stay at the Amelia Island Plantation to celebrate our anniversary. My bosses are the most giving people we have ever met and we were SO GRATEFUL for that special weekend to step away from golf/work and just be US.

Of course, we ate lots of yummy food and treats.

We also rented bikes for the day and had a wonderful time exploring the island. We had so much fun talking while we were riding and enjoying the views, that we have decided that we want to budget some money to do that at different places every once in a while!
Now, it wouldn't be a Wolfepack Write Up without new foods we've eaten lately!

I've been researching the benefit of casein protein in cottage cheese, so we have been eating it in different ways. My favorite is mixing cottage cheese with nut butter and slapping it on some toast with an egg.

I have been taste testing new recipes while Jared is traveling so I can be sure that he will like them when I make them for him while he's home. This one was a WINNER! Spaghetti Squash Chicken and Spinach casserole.

I've seen pumpkin flavored everything already and that definitely includes peanut butter. I had this at work one day and it was delicious! All I did was sprinkle some pumpkin spice on a spoonful of peanut butter. DELISH!

We received another amazing LOVE DROP from Love Grown Foods and have been enjoying eating them solo, or mixed into healthy treats!

We are handling being apart so much better, but man, it feels good to have this guy home for a couple weeks! Watch out Q-SCHOOL, Jared is READY TO GO!!!

My Transformation Tuesday Story

In my teen years and into my college years, my main focus was how to eat as few calories as possible. I ate all kinds of diet foods and prepackaged everything to ensure that I knew exactly how many calories I was consuming. I saved up one "fun" day every once in a while to let myself have dessert and ended up going hog wild because it was my only day I was "allowed" to eat junk food. I would get a huge stomach ache because I ate so much.

Then, God sent me my incredible husband to help me get over my obsessive behavior by RELAXING my strict rules, eat more, workout properly, and live a little! Shortly after I got married, I ate more food, but I still counted every single calorie until one day my husband said enough was enough. He told me to give him ONE MONTH of eating what he told me to and not looking at calories and I agreed. Did change happen overnight? Heck no! But, over time, I have completely changed the way I eat. Today, I don't look at any calories, but focus on the QUALITY of ingredients that I am putting into my body. I focus on eating healthy fats, a variety of protein, veggies, fruits, carbs, snacks, and desserts! I don't stress about what is going to be served at a party or if plans change on a whim and I have to eat something different. I am also way more flexible on my workout routine and take EXTRA rest days when I need them, along with my set day of rest per week. I don't step on the scale except when I am at the doctor's office, because that number means absolutely NOTHING to me now. I wear clothes that make me feel beautiful and strong and say that the 'M' on my clothing tag stands for muscle!

I am truly thankful for God helping me get through my crazy obsession through my sweet husband! Jared is seriously the best man for me and I wouldn't trade him for anything!

Nextrino Activated Charcoal Tea Tree Soap

I was sent some brand new soap from Nextrino to try and review! It is an activated charcoal tea tree soap that is all natural, vegan, and ...
