Purely Inspried reached out to us for an opportunity to try their Protein. We gladly accepted the offer! We were not compensated for this post, just sent product. All opinions are our own.
Here's a little info about the protein from their website before I share my recipe with you:
Each serving of Purely Inspired® 100% Plant-Based Protein Nutritional Shake provides:
- 16g of plant-based protein, at least 6g of fiber, and no more than 2.5g of fat
- More antioxidant vitamin C than 5 servings of fruits and vegetables1
- Concentrated greens blend with broccoli and spinach
- 19 vitamins and minerals
- Omega-3 fatty acids from flaxseed
- Digestive enzymes
- Contains zero lactose, aspartame, or cholesterol, and is low in fat
1Every serving delivers more of the antioxidant
vitamin C (500% DV, 310mg) than you’d find in a serving of apples,
broccoli, oranges, spinach, and blueberries combined (393% DV, 236mg).

Our Review:
We enjoyed this protein a lot. Jared liked the chocolate mixed with milk for his post-workout recovery shake. He said it tasted alright.
I wanted to do a little baking, so I used a recipe from How Sweet Eats Blog and tweaked a few things. Her Whole Wheat Blueberry Banana Bread Muffin recipe can be found here. I wanted to create something of my own, so this is what I came up with. Hope you enjoy it.
Purely Inspired Berry Protein Muffins
Ingredients:
1 cup Purely Inspired Very Berry Protein Powder
1 cup Unbleached All Purpose Flour
2 ripe bananas
1/2 cup egg whites
sprinkle of Baking Soda
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350*F.
Put all ingredients into the food processor and let it mix for about 2 min.
Spray muffin tins with nonstick spray.
Pour batter into muffin tins.
Bake at 350*F for 15 minutes.
EAT AND ENJOY!
I would guess each muffin has about 6 grams of protein.
They are perfect as a pre-workout snack, dessert, or just a snack when you're hungry. They taste like cupcakes because of the very tasty protein powder inside them. Jared and I always do a rating system with new recipes that we make and this one was NO DOUBT A 10/10.
