Our Review:

 

These muffins were great! They were perfect for peanut butter and banana toast, egg muffins, and even cheesy bread as a side to our dinners! They are easy to make; all you have to do is pop them in the toaster oven for a few minutes! The thing we liked most about them is that they didn't have any weird ingredients!

Our Review:

WE LOVED THIS BOX! Some of the other subscription boxes we've reviewed include some foods with artificial ingredients or things we don't normally eat, but this box was FULL of foods we were excited to try! They were perfect for fueling our healthy and active lifestyles! It even included a workout to try!

  

We got to make pancakes for dinner one night! They were delish! We made a savory and sweet plate. Almond and peanut butter on one, and yogurt and granola on the other.

 

 We tried veggie chips with our lunch one afternoon. These babies were GOOD. Tasted just like potato chips!!! YUM!

 

There were some snacks that we got too excited to try and forgot to snap a pic before consumption. haha! There were protein powders, lentil and quinoa chips, and even coconut oil! 

But our favorite product was definitely the PROTEIN BAKERY goodies!!!! YUUUUUUMMMMM!!! (and yes, we still have our Christmas tree up... Red ornaments are perfect for Valentines Day, right?!) 

 

They also included an incredibly comfy T-SHIRT that we both fully agree with! "Fit is not a destination, it's a way of life!"

Our Review:

We loved the bites and bars! They were packed with wonderful ingredients and tasted great!

 

We enjoyed eating the bites before our workouts. They were the perfect fuel to help us power through our workouts! 

 

 I also got really sad when THE LAST BITE IN THE BAG dropped in between the couch and table. Sad moment.

HistoryOnce upon a time there was a crazy, bullheaded...ahem...I mean a crazy, bull-riding farmer and a land-loving health nut gal. Fast forward: we found the coolest surf spot in California (Mavericks Bay) and tied the knot. Who knew that a union between a farm boy and a wannabe triathlete tree-hugger would birth the best energy bar known to man? This is how it happened…

I was busy learning how to train for triathlons (I have to confess I had KONA in my dreams!) and it went something like this: First things first…learn to swim. Check. Second…learn how to fall off a road bike WITHOUT toe clips in. Half check. Lastly…run like a banshee. Check. 

As I learned more and more about how to fuel my body for performance and recovery, I started eating energy bars. As I continued training, I found that traditional energy bars weren't really that cool. Lots of high fructose corn syrup, cheap vitamins, and wonky aftertastes. Sick. So I did some research and came up with GORP.

I never thought about going commercial with this little bar until my training mates started demanding them. That’s how it all began. Word spread and pretty soon the local welding shop was ordering bars for coffee break. Hairdressers, marathon runners...folks looking for a high-protein snack to get through the day. That is when the light bulb flickered on!

Time to get serious. This could be a lot fun. The last several years have been dedicated to research and development and making GORP the best bar, bar none!

This adventure is just starting for us. We welcome any thoughts and ideas you have. You’ll notice this isn’t your typical corporate website...this is our real voice. Us talking to you. We are all ears.

Our Review:

WE LOVED THESE BARS!!! They were nice and dense, so they actually filled us up, unlike some other bars out there. The bars were full of flavor and tasted like eating peanut butter and jelly in a bar form! Which, if you've been reading this blog for a while, you know we LOVE peanut butter! We really liked that the bars didn't have any weird ingredients. They were made with REAL foods and packed with protein to keep us fueled throughout the day! We ate these for our mid morning snacks at work and during Jared's golf rounds!

What makes your almonds so delicious?

Most importantly, we take great pride in our selection of almonds and use the Nonpareil variety.  Second, we roast our almonds IN THE SHELL which produces their crisp texture and buttery taste.

What’s up with the shell?

An almond actually has multiple layers: a fruit like exterior while it hangs on the tree, a much harder and larger outer shell, a thin shell, and a kernel.  You may be familiar with almonds that require a nutcracker and are a pain to crack!, but we remove that for you, leaving only the thin shell and almond.

Where can I buy?

What is the shelf life for your almonds?

Our Review:

WE LOVE ALMONDS. These almonds were no exception. We enjoyed them for a snack at home. It was fun to crack open the shells! When we took them to a golf tournament, we obviously took the time to take them out of the shells before we got to the course due to the fact that you have to eat on the go during a round and it's not exactly easy to crack open shells. haha. They were a wonderful healthy snack to keep us fueled for the rounds!
