God is SO Good!

Image
GOD IS SO SO SO GOOD!
Words cannot express the HUGE 180 degree turn that we have both made this season! We are truly putting God FIRST in our lives and leaning on HIM for our true joy and satisfaction. Yes, we are both human, and we are not perfect, but we are working our hardest on giving God our expectations of each other and letting HIM do the work in our spouse instead of us trying to change the other on our own. We were SO grateful for the 13 days we got to spend together between tournaments. We soaked up as much time as we could with each other AND with our wonderful friends and church family!
We enjoyed a date night out! We went to the World Golf Hall of Fame, dinner, and a movie! (Glad we had some Nature's Bakery Fig Bars with us to tide us over til dinner...haha) Our church young adult group has a FITNESS small group that meets on Saturdays. They had a contest to see who could step up and lead a workout and WE were chosen! It was so fun to lead a workout together! …

Back to the Roots

Image
Back to the roots sent us some cereal and breakfast toppers to review.  We were not compensated for this post, just sent product. All opinions are our own. Here's a little background info on the company: In a college class, we learned that mushrooms could grow on recycled coffee grounds. After watching hours of how-to videos and turning our fraternity kitchen into a big science experiment, we eventually decided to give up our corporate job offers to instead become full-time mushroom farmers. What started as curiosity about urban farming has turned into a passion for “undoing food” and reconnecting families to it through fun, delicious and sustainable “ready to grow” and “ready to eat” products.
Unlike refined or even whole wheat flour, 100% stoneground whole wheat has more nutrients and more taste. It leaves Mother Nature’s recipe untouched — nothing is added, nothing is removed. One pound of whole wheat kernels goes into the mill, and one pound of flour comes out. Ca…

Laughing Giraffe Organics sent us some Snakroons and Snakarola to try!  We were not compensated for this post, just sent product. All opinions are our own.  First, here's some info about the company from their website: They are a family based company who provide quality nutritional snack foods. They only use the purest ORGANIC ingredients that are nutrient dense and minimally processed. They have Snakaroons and Snakarola, as well as Fruit, Nut, and Seed mixes.
Our Review: WOW! We can't get over the incredibly scrumptious taste of the Snakaroons! They tasted like little bites of coconut deliciousness! We enjoyed all of the flavors! Kelsey liked the Vanilla the best and Jared liked the Chocolate. (Typical flavor favorites for us. haha) Our nutrient rich and power packed Snakaroons will satisfy your sweet cravings without sacrificing your wellness. These tasty treats hit your organic sweet spot every time. As a word play on macaroons, Snakaroons can be enjoyed as a wholesom…

Free Bread?!? Yes, it's true!!

Image
Free Bread Inc sent us some of their bread and poppers to review on the blog.  We were not compensated for this post, just sent product. All opinions are our own.

Here's a little bit about the company from their website first: Free Bread's founder, Karen Freer, was diagnosed with celiac disease as an adult. During those first few challenging months, she found that the only thing she really missed was bread -- hearty, crusty, seedy, toothy bread. Always a sucker for a challenge, Karen soon set out to achieve a nearly impossible and often outrageously frustrating goal -- to make gluten-free bread taste, look, and feel delicious by any means necessary. After dozens and dozens of abysmal flops (our uglies are now our croutons!), she finally created some recipes that were deemed delicious by not only her fellow gluten-free friends, but her gluten-loving friends, colleagues, and even strangers. Before she had the chance to change her mind, Free Bread was off and running, a…

Purely Inspired is providing us with protein in exchange for recipes each month. We are not compensated for these posts, just sent product. Today, we are sharing a Reese Protein Pie recipe with you! Ingredients: 2 Cups Purely Inspired Chocolate Protein Powder 1 cup cereal of choice 1 cup egg whites 1 tsp Cocoa Syrup from NuStevia  Peanut butter (as much as you want)
Directions: 1. Put all ingredients into a food processor and blender and mix until a smooth batter has formed.
2. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray and evenly distribute batter into the dish.
3. Bake at 400*F for about 10 minutes.
4. Add a layer of Peanut Butter on top and place back in oven for about 3-5 minutes.

Don't let it stay in there too long, or the peanut butter will bubble and harden
5. Cut into your preferred size slices and eat!
Jared loved this surprise when he came home! He enjoyed it by itself after heating it in the microwave for a few minutes, and also enjoyed crumbling pieces into his yogur…

Friday Favorites 6/5/15

Image
Today, is all about Friday Favorites! Just a little round up of some of our favorite moments over the past week.

1. The PGA Tour Canada Season began last week ... And... JARED MADE THE CUT!!! 2. We are having fun sending photos back and forth to each other because Jared has to be in Wifi to recieve any texts, emails, etc. We are both being INTENTIONAL about including each other in part of our days because we are apart and communication has proven to be difficult. We can't have a regular phone call with each other. We have to use FaceTime and it doesn't work very well most of the time, but you know what is awesome? Even though this is the WORST COMMUNICATION availability (bad reception and a 3 hour time zone difference) we have gone through so far, it has been THE BEST TWO WEEKS APART of our entire marriage! God is REALLY WORKING in us! I have been more FLEXIBLE when plans change and Jared has been more INTENTIONAL to include me in what he is doing and participating in. (Jar…
