The texture of this peanut butter was a little different than I am used to. It had almonds, peanuts, cranberries, sunflower seeds, and flax seeds, so there was a lot going on in one single bite! I am not a huge fan of sunflower seeds, but I really enjoyed the rest of the mix!

Trail Mix APP Review and Giveaway!

I was given a promo code to download the Trail Mix APP for free to review on the blog!

My Review: 10/10!
It was awesome! The faster I went, the faster the tempo of my music... This is perfect for runners especially, to give you a little pep in your step when you're just ready to give up... I thought it was fun just to use on the elliptical as well.

How it Works
- You pick a song to start off with, and in seconds, TrailMix will have determined its exact tempo
- The pace of your footsteps is automatically detected using the accelerometer sensor built into your device
- TrailMix remixes the song to match your current pace by making the tempo faster or slower as necessary
Read more about how TrailMix works.
Amazingly Fun to Use
TrailMix Music Player is for everyone, not just workout enthusiasts, because it makes even a casual walk into a delightful experience. Step in sync with the music and brighten your day as you:

True Love.

Words cannot describe how much my fiance means to me. For the longest time, I would cry myself to sleep at night because I felt like I was the only single girl in the world. I am a Christian and I knew that God had someone special in store for me, but goodness, it was hard being patient! I was in my last semester of college to become a teacher, when my mom suggested using Eharmony. She told me that three different teachers from her work married the man that they went on their first date with from the website. I was a little skeptical, but figured, why not give it a shot? Well, I was on the website for only ONE WEEK before Jared started communicating with me. It was crazy how much we had in common. I was SO IMPRESSED by his representation of Christ! Finding a man that loved Christ just as much as I did was my number one priority. We emailed each other back and forth on the website for a few days, then we started texting each other. We had to wait a few days to actually talk because Jared just had his wisdom teeth pulled out. During the first phone call, I remember thinking, "Wow! I just love his voice." I was SO excited to meet him. Our first date lasted 8 hours because we just couldn't stop talking! We had a blast just having a conversation!

I knew right then that there was something different about Jared. My family warned me not to get too excited because they didn't want to see me get hurt if things didn't work out. I tried my best to keep my excitement under control, but I KNEW this was going to be something special. We currently live three hours apart, so long distance was difficult at first, but as our relationship progressed, the distance became a miniscule issue. I would gladly hop in the car and pay extra gas money to go see my man! Jared and I still talk over an hour on the phone each night, along with numerous texts and HeyTell messages throughout the day. Our favorite thing is using FaceTime when we're apart for a few weeks.

Technology has really helped us stay in touch. I am SO GRATEFUL that God allowed our lives to follow the same path. Jared is my BEST FRIEND. I am so excited to spend the rest of our lives together!

Our Bible verse that we've dedicated to our season of engagement is Philippians 4:6, "Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks. And God's peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."

Enjoy these pictures as I wipe the tears from my eyes.

Gosh, I love that man!

Diet-To-Go Review

Okay, it's no secret that I love HEALTHY EATING. Well, I was given the opportunity to try Diet-To-Go meals and post a review here. :)

I was very impressed with Diet-to-Go.  It is a diet delivery system. They ship the meals to you frozen in ice packs and they are delivered RIGHT TO YOUR DOOR!  I originally thought the meals from Diet-to-Go would be like the Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisines I buy from Kroger and Walmart, but was highly impressed by the food options.  There were many delicious and exciting meals that I had never had as healthy meal choices before.  Plus the meals tasted much better than many microwave meals and they KEPT ME FULL!!! (which NEVER happens with microwave meals!)

My favorites included:
Breakfast Meal
fajita omelet with mozzarella and seasoned artichokes
Lunch Meal
Chicken Salad
Dinner Meal
Baked Spaghetti Pie

Here's some info about Diet-to-Go:

Diet-to-Go is consistently ranked a top pick in taste tests and was recently ranked the top meal plan in a national blind taste test conducted by Epicurious.

There are no cancellation fees or gimmick pricing. There is no commitment or contract, and we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Overall, I LOVED Diet-To-Go! The food was very tasty and filling. I loved that it is a diet delivery that shows up ON OUR DOORSTEP! It made those nights after a long day of teaching much easier to come up with dinner... All I had to do was pop something in the microwave! :)
I loved this service! The only thing I would change is that I think it is a little pricy for a first year teacher's salary. ;)

Want to try Diet-to-Go for yourself?:
They are currently having a 1,000 meal giveaway.  Just click on the link for your very own chance to win one week, or even one whole month, of free meals from Diet-to-Go.

So, I didn't win, but it was a lot of fun! I got a goodie bag and it had some nice coupons inside!

I am really going to be a BRIDE!!!!!

Looking Back on My 2012 Goals

Looking back on 2012, I must say, it was a pretty good year.
I decided to revisit my goals and see how I did with them.

1. Try a new recipe at least once a month - CHECK! I have definitely tried to create new things for myself, and every time Jared visited me, I tried to make something new with him or for him! :)

2. Eat sweets more often in moderation - CHECK! I definitely ate more sweets than I ever have before and I didn't gain weight OR FEEL BAD afterwards. Jared has helped me overcome my body image issues. He is my rock and support system. Ever since we started dating, not a single bad thought has crossed my mind as far as "not eating enough" like I used to do! SO THANKFUL!!!!

3. Stop worrying about everything being perfect - half CHECK! I can still do a better job in this area. I started my career and tend to be SUPER HARD on myself about doing everything exactly right. I am a BRAND NEW TEACHER. I am going to make mistakes! But, I can learn from them and grow. I shouldn't get so down on myself when I mess up. I will ALWAYS learn new things forever and ever!

4. Get a REAL job - CHECK!!! I'm teaching first grade. My fellow faculty is so supportive and helpful. I love the atmosphere. We're like one big family!

I also have to add that I am SO THANKFUL for Jared and that God has created our lives to follow along the same path. Jared is the best thing that's ever happened to me. He is a strong, Christian man who DAILY encourages me on my walk with Christ.  He lifts me up when I'm down, he cares deeply for me, he shows me how much he loves me, he acts like a goofball with me, and we just have a blast when we're together no matter what we are doing! I AM SO EXCITED TO BE MARRYING MY BEST FRIEND!!!

Our Proposal (His and Her version)

When I decided it was time to ask Kelsey to marry me, I knew I had to ask with some style. After talking to her parents, her mom made it clear to me it had to be memorable.  Which was fitting because we were planning on going on a family trip to Disney world. I thought, how perfect would it be in front of the Disney castle in front of the family.  Well unfortunately plans fell through on Disney. The back up plan was Kelsey and I going to Vegas with my parents. Immediately I thought of the Venetian and the gondola rides. It would be a perfect place to ask and of course it would be memorable. We flew out Christmas morning to Vegas through Detroit. Unfortunately we fly stand by, which means we aren't guaranteed a seat. Which also means we could be stuck in an airport all day, and in this case, we did. Spending all day in the airport trying to find places to fly into and thinking of alternate plans of when and where to ask got me pretty upset and let down. So since we couldn't fly into anywhere that evening except back home, that's what we decided to do; instead of sleeping in the Detroit airport. After we landed, dad and I began thinking of ways to still make a great proposal, and a memorable one. I discussed with dad, my brother in law(kyle), and my sister(holly) until we finally had a plan.  So from that night to the next evening, we were able to get her parents to louisville, coordinate a "double date" with my sister and brother in law, and plan a big dinner afterwards. We started out walking through the Galt House hotel looking through all the Christmas decorations. After about an hour of killing time and taking pictures, we made our way outside towards 4th street live. We stopped in a hotel lobby so I could get the ring from Kyle and go over any last minute plans while Kelsey hit the ladies room. We walked out and stood in front of the big Christmas tree and took a couple pictures. When she tried to move so Holly and Kyle could take some, I pulled her back to me. Started whispering some words to her, motioned her folks to come from around the back of the tree, and the next thing I knew, I was on one knee. I asked her to marry me and all I remember is hearing,"of course I will".   I got up, hugged her, and saw a look on her face I will never forget. Her face was half crying half smiling/laughing. It was the best reaction!  After we kissed each other and hugged our family, we walked to Eddie Merlot's resteraunt where we had an unbelievable dinner with family. The whole night went perfect.  And honestly, I'm glad it happened the way it did instead of Disney or Vegas.

Jared told me that we were going on a special double date with his sister, Holly, and brother in law, Kyle. I was just excited to spend grown up time with them because we hadn't really gotten a chance to hang out with them without their little kids, Boston and Charlotte. We went to downtown Louisville, at 4th Street Live. It was decorated very nicely with Christmas decorations, so we enjoyed walking around, taking pictures, and just spending time together. It was very cold and windy outside, so we walked in this really pretty hotel called The Galt House. When we finally got to the end of 4th Street Live, there was a huge tree all lit up. Jared said we were going to take one last picture and then we could go eat a nice dinner. I was freezing, so I told him to hurry up, and was trying to switch places with Holly so we could take her and Kyle's picture in front of the tree, but Jared wouldn't let me go. He said, "Wait a minute, there are some more people here." Next thing I know, my parents and his parents came out from hiding behind the tree. That's when I started to wonder what was happening. Then, Jared took both of my hands and said, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to wake up beside you every morning. I want you to be my wife. Will you marry me?" I said, "OF COURSE I WILL!!!" Afterwards, we all ate a delicious dinner at Eddie Merlot's. It was a night I will NEVER forget!

Rush Bowls Review

Rush Bowls are Vegan, Vegetarian, Dairy free, Soy free, Nut free, and Wheat Free. They have NO artificial sweeteners, additives, or preservatives. They also have NO GMOS and NO MSG.
Rush Bowls can be enjoyed on the go! They are a quick, well balanced meal in a bowl.

Power Bowl: 5/10. This one tasted GROSS. Jared tried it too and didn't like it either. I don't know what it was, but we just did not like this flavor. It had blueberries, bananas, raspberries, soymilk, whey protein, and rolled oats.

Oasis Bowl: 8/10. This flavor tasted a LOT better. We really enjoyed the coconutty and fruity flavors. This flavor had peach juice, coconut milk, pineapples, and mangoes. The granola topping was a lovely addition!

Yoga Bowl: 7/10. This one tasted good, but not as good as the Oasis Bowl. This flavor had mango, pineapple, banana, vanilla soy milk, and green tea. This flavor also had granola topping to add!

These were great to enjoy as a mid day snack or even dessert!

Zim's Naturally Based Products Review

Zim's Naturally Based Products

Zim's Max-Freeze® is a naturally-based topical analgesic that freezes away minor muscle and joint aches & pains quickly.
*Use to temporarily relieve the pain of:
  • Sore Muscles & Muscle Sprains
  • Back, Shoulder & Neck Pain
  • Painful Ankle, Knee, Hip & Elbow Joints
  • Muscular Strains
Zim's Max-Freeze® features:
  • Certified Organic Ilex
  • Certified Organic Arnica
  • Certified Organic Aloe
  • No Parabens, Synthetic Fragrance, Sulfates, Paraffins, DEA, Petrolatum, or Mineral Oil
All in a greaseless, stain-free formula!

Zim's Crack Creme® was developed by a pharmacist in Austintown, OH. Local cement workers frequently visited the pharmacy, complaining of dry, cracked skin; the cement business took its toll on the workers' hands and feet.
The pharmacist saw a need, and began developing an all-natural, herbal-based liquid formula designed to help the cement workers. This formula became what was called "Cement Workers' Lotion."
Cement Workers' Lotion was sold locally after World War II, and it earned a strong and loyal following. After many years, the product was renamed Zim's Crack Creme® and introduced on a national level.
This all-natural, pharmacist-developed formula is still offered today, along with a full line of natural skin care products under the Zim's® name. Zim's Crack Creme® can be found in nearly every major retailer in North America.

My Review:
Crack Creme: 8/10. The creme made my skin SUPER soft and did relieve them from the dry cracks that winter causes. But, I gave them an 8 because of the smell. It was not a pleasant smell. I used this when I went to bed and woke up with silky smooth skin.

Maximum Heat: 9/10. I really liked that the heat was a  ROLL-ON bottle. That way I didn't have to get it on my hands. This definitely helped my back cramps during that lovely "time of the month" that ladies have to endure. haha. The only thing I didn't like was the SMELL. It was very potent and did not smell very good to me.

Max Freeze: 9/10. This was also a ROLL ON bottle, which I enjoyed. I alternated using this and the heat to help with back cramps. The only thing I didn't like was the SMELL again.

FRS #HealthySlim Review

I was sent this box of products from FRS to complete through FitFluential. All of the opinions are my own.

All FRS® products feature quercetin, a powerful all-natural antioxidant found in foods such as blueberries, red apples and grapes. It has been shown in multiple clinical trials to provide sustained energy, increased endurance, immune system support along with many other health benefits.
FRS uses only QU995™, the purest quercetin available, and combines it with a patented mix of green tea extract and vitamins to deliver optimum performance.
A serving of FRS contains a healthy amount of quercetin, but to get the equivalent you'd have to be willing - and able - to eat 40 apples in a sitting!

How Does Quercetin Work?

Instead of using lots of caffeine and sugar to give your body a lift, FRS activates your body's own energy-producing mechanisms for sustained energy without fear of crashing.
Quercetin acts in the body as a “super fuel” that mimics the effects of exercise by enhancing the production of the body's mitochondria, the energy-producing units in cells. Traditionally, exercise training has been the only practical way to increase the amount of mitochondria in cells.
FRS was developed as a fatigue-fighting health drink by a team of scientists, including Dr. Mitsunori Ono, PhD. It was then tested and refined by Dr. Ono and Dr. Lan Bo Chen, PhD. who, at the time, were both researchers at Harvard University.

Healthy Energy Drink: Wild Berry and Cherry Limeade : 7/10. These drinks were very tasty, but they didn't really have long lasting energy. It gave me a quick boost, but didn't last all day long.

Healthy Protein: Blackberry Acai and Orange Cream: 10/10! These drinks not only tasted EXCELLENT, but they provided my body with 25 grams of protein after my tough workouts. LOVED THESE!

Healthy Slim: Tropical and Strawberry Melon: 8/10. These drinks were very tasty, and they surpressed my appetite for a little while, but they also gave me MAJOR GAS! haha, that's the only reason I gave them an 8. So, drink these on days when you aren't going on a first date or hanging with your friends! ;)

Healthy Energy Soft Chews: Pomegranate Blueberry:  8/10. These chews tasted good, but I didn't feel too much of a difference in my energy for my workout.

Healthy Energy Hard Chews: Orange: 6/10. This flavor was not my favorite. They had a weird after taste, and I didn't feel much of a difference in energy.
