Our Weekend at The Player's Championship

This past weekend was The Player's Championship at TPC Sawgrass! We were very fortunate to get tickets with Jared's status on the Web.Com Tour this year. It also included tickets for family and friends as well. On Friday morning, before I had to go to work, we followed our friend, Steve Wheatcroft. His wife, Sarah, had some awesome T-shirts made that said "Wheat Watchers" on the front and "#TeamWheatie" on the back. It was fun to support our friend in this really big tournament! He made the cut and we followed his full rounds on Saturday and Sunday! It was a blast!

On Sunday morning, we were asked to take part in the Chapel Service. FCA Golf Jacksonville organized everything and they did a phenomenal job. We actually spoke on the same stage that they crowned the 2016 Players Champion, Jason Day!

We talked about our marriage and how keeping Christ at the center of it has been the best thing we could do. Here's a link to the full video if you're interested in hearing our story!

We had a great time sharing our story. We weren't nervous and fortunately, Matt (the guy who interviewed us) and his wife Karen, have become good friends, so it was easy to just talk to him in front of probably 100+ people.

Our wonderful sponsor, Nature's Bakery, provided some delicious healthy snacks for people to enjoy. They were GONE in minutes! The cool thing was that there was donuts right next to it and actually had donuts left over. We were happy to see lots of people choosing a healthy snack!

Jared's parents came and stayed with us for the week. They took pics and video so the rest of the family could watch that weren't able to make it to the service. Big thanks to them!!

We were thrilled to see our some of our good friends in the crowd who came out to support us! Thanks Calvin, Kaytie, Ellae, Brian, and Laura (unpictured).

After the Chapel Service, we watched Steve's final round and then caught up to watch our other friend Justin Thomas's back nine.

We had a great time with family and we were very blessed to be a part of the Chapel Service. We hope our story will be encouraging to at least one person. Feel free to email us (fitness_fanatic_007@hotmail.com) if you have any questions! Our purpose for playing golf is to share God's love with everyone!
