I decided it was time to give my blog a new look! :)

Yesterday, my mom attended the Scholarship Dinner with me. It was SUPER NICE. The meal was DELICIOUS and I really enjoyed spending time with my mom. I usually go to formal things like that with my dad for work, but it was a great feeling to know we got to attend such a fancy dinner because of ME! :)

I loved running the 5k because I got to accomplish a goal, but I still do not like running. It made me think that I can just come up with a DIFFERENT kind of goal, and I decided that I want to take cooking lessons!

almost done!

I made a 100 on my Technology Project! whooooop whooooop! :) I can't believe I only have ONE day of class left. Then, a few finals, and I'll be DONE with my sophomore year already! how crazy is that?!?!?

Tonight our Community group is having a game night! Our leader, Meagan, is getting married on Friday, so another couple that helps in the college ministry offered to host a game night at their house. They are cooking us a meal! How nice! :) God has really blessed me with such a wonderful church family!

oh, and btw, I am TOTALLY feeling it in my thighs today...haha. Every time I go "UP" at all, it's sore...haha. Oh well, I accomplished my goal of doing a 5k, so the soreness is SO WORTH IT!!! :)

5k day!

I survived my first 5k!!! I finished in about 27 minutes...

FULL of hills, I might add...

It felt great to cross the finish line with people cheering. My daddy and my good friend, Casey, (who encouraged me to do it in the first place) actually came out to cheer me on! That meant so much to me! THANKS CASEY! Love you! :)

I am so glad to have that accomplishment under my belt now. Afterwards, I had community group. Good discussion about the devil and evil.

Can't believe this is my last week of class! and...the countdown to Florida is only 13 DAYS now!!!

Today was Kacy's Senior Prom. Oh man, did I have fun taking these pics! haha.

Last night, Kacy and I had some bro&sis time. It was nice. I treated him to Wendy's for dinner and then we went bowling afterwards. I beat him. (just had to throw that in there) It was really great just to hangout with him and laugh and talk...oh, and did I mention NO ARGUING? whoop whoop! :-)

I got the Ken&Amy Landrum scholarship again for Junior Year!!! :)

Yesterday, we had birthday party for Hannah. It was fun. We ate pizza and played games. Apples to Apples is a hoot! haha.

Today, I played baseball with Robbie and two of the neighborhood kids. They stuck me with the kid who NEVER played baseball before...BUT our team DOMINATED anyways! muahahah. I hit TWO homeruns!! Oh, the memories that came to my mind...loved the time that I did play, but I'm still very happy with my decision to retire. :)

I DID IT!!! I ran a practice 5k on the treadmill today! I am ready for the real Blackhorse Run on Sunday! My friend, Katie, is going to do it with me. I've always wanted to complete a race, just so I can say I did it, because I am by NO MEANS a runner! haha.

I gotta admit...it feels REALLY good to have all my projects and stuff completed. I had NO SCHOOL WORK to do today. It felt so great to just relax, watch tv, go to walmart, babysit, and watch my brother's baseball game. :-) Today while I was babysitting, we played Beauty Shop. Myrt did my hair and I did hers...this is what turned out...(after I made her redo mine a couple of times...haha!)

We always have a fun time! Love that little girl :)

Urban Quest

OMG! We had THE BEST TIME at the Urban Quest this morning! We came in 2nd by TWO MINUTES! It was so much fun! We ran and ran and ran...HILLS. There were challenges at every location.

One of them, I was blindfolded while RJ had to tell me how to put a picture together. We passed a team that was already there before us! ha! (the people were talking about us and said we did such a great job and we really communicated well.)

Another station was where RJ ran up this huge hill with a soccer ball and back down.

Another one was where RJ blew up a beach ball while I made a chain out of fabric to fit around this huge rock.

Another was a big field with playplace balls with letters and numbers on them. We were given the word NONCHALANT and had to find the letters and add up the numbers.

Another was learning how to fold a fancy napkin and doing it under 3 minutes.

Another was at the bus station- this one was the one we struggled with because they had 5 math problems where u had to figure out how much something would cost. we didnt notice at first that Senior Citizens and students got discounts and kids were free, etc, and they tricked us with one by asking about a ride on Sunday...well it isn't even OPEN on sunday! haha...

Another was at the animal shelter, RJ had to go back and find names of little puppies that they had written on a piece of paper.

The last one was a word scramble.

SOOOOOOO MUCH FUN! I'm so glad he asked me to do it with him!

We won a 2nd place trophy AND free dinner at a nice restaurant! :)

Fun Friday!

Today has been wonderful. The weather was GORGEOUS. I just had two classes, so I was outta school at 11:00. I watched Blake this afternoon. We played outside. Chalk and running around-wore him out, so he took a nap while I did my math homework. Then, we went back outside after he woke up. He didn't want me to leave..so sweet, but I had to get going to my next job-MADDIE! :) She is always so sweet. We went to the playground and played with some of the big girls. She had a blast! She loves the swing and the tunnel. I would play peek-a-boo with her and she would just LAUGH! :) It was so fun. Now, I'm about to try and finish my book and get some good rest because tomorrow is the Adventure Quest! I'm SUPER EXCITED!! :)

workin hard..

Today has been a work day for me. I worked out this morning (which I RAN the last hill on the treadmill-it felt good after!) I came home, showered, and sat my butt at the computer. I finished my WebQuest for Technology, worked on my Portfolio for Educ 3070 and now I'm about to go grocery shopping and it's 2:15 already! The day went by FAST.

Last night, I went to watch the kids at REMIX, and only two little girls came. They are sisters and all they like to do is watch a movie every week. So for the first hour, that's all we did. Finally, another little family came in, and I JUMPED outta my seat so I could actually PLAY with them! haha. I am definitely going to be an active mom when I get older, I can tell you that right now. It's boring just sitting in front of the tv all day. Although, I will admit, every now and then it is nice just to relax in front of the tv, but definitely not every single day.

GREAT day!

Wednesday wednesday wednesday. I can't believe the week is already halfway done! It is really flying by. Today was a GREAT day! On my way to school, there were fun songs on the radio with NO COMMERCIALS! (usually have some and it bugs me...haha...I like music ALL the time!) The sun has been shining all day, I had lunch with RJ today to talk about the Adventure Quest that we're competing in on Saturday morning. Got to leave Reading class 15 minutes early. Had a good workout. Yummy dinner, now I'm heading to watch the munchkins at REMIX! :-)

So...I got a 25/25 for my Microteach! YAY! :)

today, I ran in my parent's neighborhood. Lots of hills, and needless to say I ran TWENTY minutes straight! I was proud of myself because I am NOT a runner. I want to run one 5K just to say I completed a race!

Watched baby Vincent for two hours, came home, showered, relaxed, and headed to Myrt and Robbo's.

Now, I am off to GAME NIGHT for the college ministry at Grace! whoop whoop!

Microteach

So I completed my Microteach today. For my Educ 3070 class, we had to teach a "pretend lesson" as if we were teaching it to the grade level we chose. My lesson was on 5th grade geography. It went really smoothly. Everyone in the class said I did a great job. Now, just gotta wait and see what the teacher thought.

I can't believe the semester is almost over! It's gone by sooooo fast. I'm so excited because I am pretty much done with everything. Everybody else is stressing out, but NOT ME! :)

I had a lovely afternoon hanging out with Chandler! After her massive explosion in her diaper, I cleaned her up, gave her a quick rinse in the bathtub, and she slept for about an hour! Then, we went on a walk with her dog, Molli, around the neighborhood. It was BEAUTIFUL outside! Next, we played the piano (I played her Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and she clapped for me afterwards all by herself! so sweet!), then for about 30 minutes straight, I would hide behind this wall and we would play peek-a-boo. She just LAUGHED the whole time! I just love her! :)

All day at the ballfield..sound familiar?

Well, today I spent ALL day at the ballfield. Wow. it's been a longgggg time since I have said that! haha. First, I watched Kacy's game at 12:15 at CHS. Then, my family and I went to McDonalds to cool off and get a snack. After that, me and Daddy went to Barksdale to watch Myrtle's t-ball game. Dad left after the first inning because Kacy had another game. But I stayed and watched all of her game, and then Robbie's at 5:30. It was a beautiful day! :-)

Last night was SO MUCH FUN! It started out with dinner at Manzanillos. It's def my new fav mexican restaurant! What a great time with lovely friends. Then, we went back to my condo and played Scene It and Mad Gab! WOW...so much laughter!

Today I am baseball"ing" it up...watching Kacy's game at 12:15, Myrt's at 3:30, and Robbo's at 5:30! FUN FUN!

so...I got in ALL the classes I need for Fall! YAY!

today has been great! lovely weather. finished all my homework. got some new books at the library. now I'm getting ready to go out to eat with my friends! What a great start to the weekend!

I feel so much better today than I did on Sunday night. I know my brother will be leaving for college next fall, and I'm really going to miss him, but it's just the next step in his life. I'm so prouf of him. I hope we can get some time this summer to hangout since I won't have classes to deal with. I know he will be busy with baseball, but I'm sure we can find some time during the day to do something together. I want him to know how much I love him and that I'm always here for him. Hopefully we can video chat once in a while. That would be cool. I know I don't live at home with him right now, and don't see him that much, but still, he is RIGHT down the road...it's just gonna be weird with him 3 hours away. I LOVE KACY!

tonight I'm staying up to register for my classes next fall. So far there are plenty of spots left, so I hope I can get into all of the ones I need! :-) I can't believe I will be HALFWAY done with college in just a FEW WEEKS!!! It's crazy how fast it has gone by!

STOP!

STOP! That is what I need to do sometimes. I am such a perfectionist and I get upset when I don't make a good grade. I need to STOP worrying about trying to be perfect and realize that I'm NOT ever going to be! ONLY JESUS IS PERFECT!

In the end, it's not really going to matter if I don't get an "A" in every single class.

I'm lucky enough to have a wonderful daddy that reminded me of that today and provided encouragement for me. :-)

Happy Easter!

The Easter Service at church today was amazing! They had video segments of a few people who gave their testimonies. (which I love because EVERYBODY can relate to a story...that's one of the things I love about GCC. They make everybody feel welcome and the pastors talk to us on our level. It makes new friends feel more comfortable and welcome!) But back to the service, they sang a couple songs, had a video, sang, then Ron and Chad preached and shared the story of Jesus dying and rising again 3 days later, sang some more, and then read some scripture. I liked how we broke things up and put songs in between. The music was powerful. We sang THE REVELATION SONG, which is one of my new favorites. *it is especially neat because I am currently reading Revelation in my daily Quiet time, and I never realized that the song is actual scripture, so it is neat to hear the song now and understand EXACTLY where it's coming from! :) Grace Community Church has definitely helped me grow closer in my relationship with God, but also with OTHER BELIEVERS, which is definitely a blessing because I have so many people I can turn to when I am struggling, or just need someone to lean on!

Today after church I watched Chandler. Her mom wanted me to take some pics of her with her little bunny ears and flower headband, so I did. Then, we took some together on MY camera! haha. I love Chandler! She is such a sweet baby! :-)

I had a picnic with my friends on Friday before we saw The Last Song. It was so much fun! It was a beautiful day. I am blessed with some great friends! :)

so today I had my Milestone II Interview for the Education program. We have to pass it on order to continue on in the program. Anyways, I ACED IT! I was not nervous at all. On my review, the comments were: Excellent candidate. Very articulate and enthusiastic. Well prepared. :) YAY!

After my interview, I worked out, went to the bank, grocery shopped, babysat and then my friend Heather came over to hangout. We were supposed to watch a new episode of THE OFFICE. It was a rerun, but of course we watched it anyways because we love it so much! :)

Today while I was babysitting, we rode kayaks in the pond in the neighborhood! FUN FUN!!! :)

Tomorrow I am having a picnic with Heather and Nikki and then we're going to see THE LAST SONG at the movie theater! I'm sooooo excited to see it. The book was AWESOME and I hope the movie will be too!!!
