Teapigs Review

Teapigs was kind enough to send me some samples of their tea to try and review on my blog.

Here is a little info about Teapigs from their website:

We believe in something pure and simple - no airs. no graces. just fine tea.

  • We will only ever sell teas of the highest quality. We will never compromise on quality. It also means we sell only whole leaf tea from selected estates, which we supply either as loose leaf or in tea temples.
  • We love tea; we just don't like the snobbery that can come with it. Instead we concentrate on bringing you the very best tea we can find and not taking ourselves too seriously.
  • We don't want to intimidate you with a huge list of teas or bewilder you with a mass of information (although, of course, you can always ask us). We've handpicked a select range that offers you the chance to discover the wonderfully diverse world of tea.
Now, onto the review:
I really love that ALL of the tea bags were biodegradable! (GO GREEN)

On the bags, they suggested to drink them pure. Well, I tried it without any added sugar, but I didn't like it. So, I added some and it tasted better! :)

English Breakfast: 6/10: This flavor took some getting used to, probably because I am an avid green tea drinker, but the flavor was alright after a few sips.

Darjeeling Earl Grey:5/10: I have tried Earl Grey tea before, and I DID not like it, so this was not any different...Guess I'm just NOT a fan! :(

Rooibos Crème Caramel: 7/10: This was a dessert tea. It was great after dinner!

Mao Feng Green Tea: 5/10: I LOVE green tea, but this tasted really bitter. It was not my favorite.

Chamomile Flowers: 7/10: This was perfect to help me wind down and have a good night's sleep.

If you like branching out and trying new teas, you should definitely give these a shot!

Teapigs ships to the United States for £8.00!
